Reflections and new learning:

QLC team building - this was a great way to get to know the QLC group and put faces to names for new staff.

Maths - A good refresh that PRIME is not the only thing we should be using to teach maths. I will take some time to find some rich maths tasks to link to my new M.A.T.H initiative.

Pastoral care - looking forward to a great year being part of the pastoral care team. I am going have a deep focus on being grateful with the cohort I have this year and celebrating being courageous to link to Lyn’s term mantra. It was nice to see the whole staff getting involved in the yoga and having a few giggles.

How this reflection and new learning will impact on my practice:

After this morning I feel set up and ready to hit the ground running. Having been in the school for a year already it is nice to feel like I know the systems and can really take on board the new learning.
This year my focus is going to be around building pastoral care in my classroom to help work through some of the challenges I know this cohort faced last year. I hope to do this through modelling gratitude and risk-taking.
