Four minute walk through
Today we walked through the Junior Block. What did I see? - all children were highly engaged in hands-on activities. - a range of reading to, reading with and reading by - there was a wide variety in teaching approaches depending on needs of children and teacher preference. - team-wide shared literacy beliefs on the wall (for parents? teachers?) What did I not see? - 'structured' activities, children were enjoying playing with technology and hands-on tasks Questions: - some collaborative spaces were 'blocked' by shelving or furniture, why? - cohesiveness as a team? Each space was doing something very different, is this intentional? What am I going to do? - Do we need to formalise our pedagogy around our literacy programme?
