Personal Inquiries - Term one

Image
Each term I am aiming to integrate an aspect of student driven personal inquiries into the classroom. I am hoping this will give the girls a chance to investigate something they are passionate about. In term one we watched a Kid President pep talk and used this as a motivation for our personal inquiries. Every Friday afternoon the girls worked on their own projects under the banner 'What can you teach the world?'.  I was impressed with the independence and ideas shown by the girls. They all really enjoyed this time and most of them produced great results and end products. Positive: - high levels of engagement - student driven - collaborative Negative: - hard to fit in with timetable changes Interesting: - girls have asked to repeat this again next term
