4MWT term 3 2016

Dean and I decided to go through the middle school today to evaluate our practice against those of our immediate colleagues. What's happening and why? Middle School teachers a very consistent with their approach to each subject area. We saw maths and literacy which run in very similar ways to our space. The use of IT in literacy was something interesting to see as this is an area we are really working on in our practice. I think our IT integration is solid in our literacy programme now and beginning to operate at the higher levels of SAMR. Through Google Workspace I have been able to set up interactive but scaffolded tasks to build research and IT skills. I think this is becoming a strength of our classroom programme and it was clear to see today how far our class has come from publishing and 'researching' on wikipedia. GOOD EVIDENCE: -set goals/inquiries - execute them - evidence-based backing - critically evaluate progress at the end and identify ' what new piece of knowledge'  did i get out of that goal/inquiry? - how am I going to use it to improve student outcomes?
