Integration
Dean and I have been really thinking about integration in our programme and how we can make this more authentic to our children. We have planned a statistics/inquiry investigation around revamping our reserve and sustainability. As an ignition we took the kids for a walk through the reserve to see what it currently looks like. As we were walking Amiri was walking alongside me and after a few chats about how we could make a difference Amiri turned to me and said "we should really do some writing about this, we could write some great similes!". This was an ah ha moment for me as it means the children can see the links we are making between different learning areas.
